Subject: Does Christ stand alone for salvation?? |
Bible Note: Where did you get the "65 percent" figure? I would have a lot of concern about the salvation of someone whose entire "Christian" life was characterized by the avoidance of the Bible and a nearly non-existant prayer life. Sure, we get into periods where we are less diligent than we should be in these practices, but generally speaking, the Christian life is a life of sanctification. That is, it is a changing life in which God is at work making us conform more and more to the image of Jesus Christ and making us hate sin more and more. If there is little discernable change in the life of a professing believer over time, one has to wonder if that person truly possesses the saving faith which results in a transformed life. --Joe! |
