Bible Note: How did you come to that suspicion that it does not apply to retail purchases? Where is the cut off? Does it apply only to partnerships, marriages, wholesale sales? Where is the cutoff? And who decides what the cutoff is? Look at a sale. You purchase something from a buyer in faith. Faith that the product is what the seller says. The seller takes your money as genuine, or credit card as being yours on faith. It is a trust, a covenant relationship you enter into. So we look at the verse again, Do not be bound together with an unbeliever. Is that not saying do not enter into trust or covenant? It goes on to say what fellowship has the light with darkness? Again speaking of relationship. How did you come to the determination of what this applies to and what it does not apply to in a Christians life? |
