Bible Question:
I was baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I was told in order to be saved that one must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, is there a difference? Tina Willis |
Bible Answer: Dear savedbygrace: Look to your user name: saved by grace! We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8). If you were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, were you not baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (the Son)? But, again, regeneration is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is He, not the water of baptism, who has the power to save. --Hank |
