Bible Note: Greetings my friend! The problem with appealing to 1 Cor. 13 to defend your position is that the text only says that the gifts mentioned will end at some point, but that point is not defined in Scripture. You assume that 'that which is perfect' is a reference to the completion of Scripture, but the text never actually says such a thing.
