Subject: You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! |
Bible Note: How do you explain this scripture? Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" And they said to him, "No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." Acts 19:6 the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. Certainly the practice of becoming born again and being baptized in the Holy Sprit are not simultaneously practiced, I have been an Apostolic Church were the did, the person received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the same time they were baptized in water. Ever other Church I have been in practiced either no Holy ghost baptism at all or being born again and water baptism as one event and Baptism in the Holy Ghost as separate events. Biblically speaking I would probably have to agree with you they should be practiced at the same time, but my experience was that they occurred at separate times. Do you speak in tongs, prophesy, or have the gifts of healing, discernment or miracles? I am curious or do you believe these have passed away as some do today. I operate in the gifts and have the Spirits fruits. They have not passed away. Perhaps it is error that many who believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost practice it separately, my concern is those who believe they have ALL there is of God and do not operate in the Gifts.
