Subject: How do you know you have the Holy Ghost? |
Bible Note: The Holy Spirit is the helper. The help to live Holy. Upon receiving the Holy Spirit one desires to live according to His word. That does not mean, to me, that we will be free from sin. We desire to be, but may fall down. When a Holy Ghost filled saint committs a sin does that mean that he no longer has the Holy Ghost? I should hope not. But rather, that he has comfort and knowledge to come to the Savior and ask forgiveness. I beleive that God chose us as sinners. And no matter how Holy Ghost filled you are sin is still apart of our lives. As long as I have been saved I have sinned. I do not live in sin anymore but I still sin. The difference now is that my quality of life is different. I desire to live Holy since I have been born of the Spirit. Before I desired sin. So now, out of my desire to live Holy I have the ability to choose righthousness. I know that when I do fall down, through God's grace and faith I can get back up and repent and continuing to desire to live rightchously. |
