Bible Question:
Please help me to understand why we say Lord Jesus Christ instead of just Jesus? Or why God Almighty which is El Shaddai, why not just El which means the Almighty? Thanks, Love Fountain |
Bible Answer: Hello Love Fountain! Perhaps it is because we are so fond of using His complete title! Either Lord Jesus Christ or Jesus is perfectly fine, since both can be used to refer to the same Person. As for "El" and "El Shaddai", "El" can be easily confused with the Spanish masculine article that would introduce a noun (for example: a person). El Shaddai would specify that you mean that you are speaking about Jesus. Blessings to you, Nolan |
