Subject: Is it bibical for a church to require? |
Bible Note: Justme, shalom I read your note but I stand firm that youth need to be treated differntly from adults. It's a proven medical fact that the frontal lob which manages decisions, discerns right and wrong, etc. is not fully developed till after the 21st year in a person. Approaching our youth in the same way you would approach a 35 year old in any given situation just won't work. Being born again or saved or whatever you want to call it does NOT speed up the growth of the brain. I don't particularily disagree with the approach concerning an adult in that state of distress but I don't believe it is what is called for where youths are concerned. |
