Bible Note: Greetings Follow Worker! I take it from the tone of your posts that you are a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. If I incorrect in my assumption, please let me know. :-) I have asked this question many times to JW's on this forum and not one has been able to answer it. How can Jesus be 'a god', when Isaiah says over and over again that there is no other god but Jehovah? I do know the difference between the Father and the Son my friend. One became incarnate, while One did not. But, both are the One God! Jesus was not 'equal' during His incarnation because He emptied Himself (see Phil. 2:5-11). But, this passage speaks to His status during His incarnation, not to His eternal nature. His eternal nature is made clear in John 1. He was with God, and He was God. p.s. - I would be nice if you would address the points in my previous post. Why must one believe that Jesus 'ego eimi' in order to be saved? Why did Jesus use the same phrase as Jehovah in Isaiah about Himself? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
