Bible Question (short): Bread: Is it the spirit that gives life? |
Question (full): As a counter of pronouns of Deity and a person who capitalizes words of Deity, and also as one who loves the NASB and regards it as a good literal translation, I have this question. For John 6:61 the NASB has only two pronouns. The NKJ and the three Interlinears available to me have four pronouns. I believe that this verse should be reconsidered by the Lockman Foundation. I believe that it is a key verse in interpretting verse 63 and understanding the statement of Jesus in John 6:48. There to my mind he was saying, "I am the Bread of life." This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it? From the heart, Ray |
