Bible Question (short): Who does the Father draw to Christ? |
Question (full): Is their scriptural support for the concept that the Father draws EVERYONE to Christ, or just some of us? I am leaning toward the idea, through intense study, that the Father does not draw all of us to Him. If He did draw us to Him, how could we as puny humans resist the will of the Almighty God who created all things? Also, since some are obviously NOT saved, if Christ died for all, then regarding those who are NOT saved His Holy and perfect sacrifice would have at least in part, relative to those lost, be a failure. I cannot believe that Christ's sacrifice was anything other than a perfect success, and hence He will lose none that the Father has given Him..consequently, I am wondering if He did die for all, or for "all the Father gave Him. Does anyone have any thoughts to share that might help me to understand this better? |
