Bible Question (short): Question between John 6:44 vs John 12:32 |
Question (full): Here, Jesus says very plainly that no one can come to Him unless that person is drawn to Him by the Father. However, later in John 12:32, He says that If He will be lifted up from the earth then He will draw ALL men unto him. Does He mean being lifted up on the Cross? Or, does He mean being lifted up from the earth in His ascent into Heaven. Both of the latter having been fulfilled and in realization that one must be drawn, is it now Jesus or the Father Who draws. It would "seem" that in John 6 Jesus would mean to say in context that unless the Father draws one, the is no hope for the "undrawn". Then in John 12 it would "seem: that Jesus has become the Person of the Trinity Who draws all men. This is a real dilemma for me, can anyone expound please? |
