Subject: Is Hell fire literal that burns forever? |
Bible Note: Rowdy: Immediately following your "Parable of the Ants," from which I am unable to extract any real point, you begin your second paragraph thusly: "Now you begin to see the difficulty that our God has in communicating with us, His creation." ...... How do I see that? What's the possible connection between God's communication with man and man's attempt to communicate with an ant farm? Is God being compared to man? Does God have trouble communicating with me because I can't converse with ants? The lead-off sentence in the second paragraph is a perfect example of non sequitur. ..... Moreover, where do you get the idea that God has difficulty doing anything He wills to do? ...... God has no difficulty communicating with man, but it is obvious man has difficulty communicating with man. For example, you answer the question, "Is Hell a literal place?" by saying "I don't really know for certain. I think we can be assured that they really do exist...." ....... How can anyone not be certain of the existence of something and at the same time be assured of its existence? --Hank |
