Bible Question: I'd like to know a little about Non-denominational theology *in comparison* to Baptist theology. Thanks! |
Bible Answer: hi, Im a nondenominational christian, I Go to a baptist church, do I guess Im a good one to answer. I beleive in nondenominalationalism because of 1 cor 1:13. "is christ divided" I dont beleive in brands like Calvanist or Arminian, or Catholic, because that is directly against scripture. It causes the unity in christ to slowly crumble. nondenominational theology is not realy anything specific, just agreeing on the essentials and obvious statements of the bible, like creation, the authority of the bible, the deity of Christ, and salvation by faith alone. you decide what you beleive concerning the nonessentials, like end times, freechoice, the claim of the sinlessness of mary ( I am not claiming to beleive it, I just say that because its a nonessential to ones salvation), for example, the church I go to is calvanistic, and I beleived it once, until, I realized that that wasnt what I saw in the bible. also the same with end times view (its reformed baptist) nondenominationalism is siply beleif in the essentials, and agreeing to forbear with one another when there are differences. we accept one another, and celebrate Christ until his return. |
