Subject: Enoch and Elijah didn't see God yet? |
Bible Note: Enoch was transferred so as not to see death, which could mean that God put him in a prophetic trance and then terminated his life while he was in the trance so that he would not experience the pangs of death.(Heb 11:5) However, Enoch was not taken to heaven, in view of what Jesus said at John 3:13. So it appears that, as in the case of Moses' body God disposed of Enoch's body, for "he was nowhere to be found." (De 34:5,6) As for Elijah, he ascends in a windstorm to the heavens. Elijah does not die at this time, nor does he go into the invisible spirit realm, but he is transferred to another prophetic assignment. (John 3:13) |
