Bible Note: Greetings Kim! My note to Hank was not intended as a slight to you my new friend! :-) I have posted on this sort of issue many times in the past and was simply urging others to heed Hank's wise advice. In terms of your post, I would respond to you question with the following observations. The only time numbers or words have 'hidden' or 'symbolic' meanings is when Scripture says so. For instance, the Mark of the Beast is Rev. 13 is clearly identified as a symbolic number. Otherwise, there is no special significance to numbers. 153 fish simply means that 153 fish were caught. The problem with numerology schemes is that they give false teachers the opportunity to wrap their false teachings in a cloak of respectability by making it appear to be Biblical. The key word here is 'appear'. :-) Using numberology or symbolism is at best pure speculation and at worst a deliberate attempt to force a meaning into Scripture which is simply not supported by the text itself. We need to heed what God has actually said in His word, not what some false prophet says that God meant or hid in His word. I look forward to interacting with you in the future my new friend!
