Bible Note: Hi Searcher, I hate playing with numbers and have not done well in mathematics starting in early childhood. If I were not a "mathetes" (#3101 from Strong's) of Jesus I would stay away from math as much as I could. I respect people who have good math skills and it is a subject that is rightly stressed in schools as a "life" skill. A skill that we can use and appreciate in all of life. I wonder if that life skill of dealing with numbers is partly what Jesus had in mind when He speaks of life abundant. Should we not be more interested in the numbers in the Scriptures than the numbers of dollars in the bank? John 6:63b, "..the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life." From the heart, Ray |
