Bible Note: Shalom CC, I think you have a bit of an idea EXCEPT that the Savior could NOT become unclean - He was the very Living Water that was required in the purification rituals. Look at all the times He touched the unclean in healing them, just walking among them, and He never became unclean (and keep in mind at that time, if you were not a part of Israel, clean/holy, then you were a part of the nations, unclean/common). So that part of your reasoning, I believe, is a bit faulty. Remember, the ingredients that went into the purification bowl were running water (from a place like a stream where the waters run, are not stagnant) and blood from the bird that was killed. What poured from our Savior's side when he was pierced? Blood and water and it began covering all those who believed the very moment it began to flow freely from His side!! Val answered correctly.
