Bible Question (short): Your thoughts? |
Question (full): Morant61... You quoted some excellent and VERY pertinent scripture. If we apply the idea behind each of the many passages you chose, to verses like Romans 13:8-10, "Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. For this, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, YOU SHALL NOT MURDER, YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, YOU SHALL NOT COVET," and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." we find quite readily that there is no reason BUT that given in John 13:34 for us to assemble together. This thought is mirrored in Hebres 10:24 "and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds," which is directly contextual to fellowship. Your thoughts? |
