Bible Note: Greetings Sisterkath! My friend, it only 'sounds bad', because you have bought into the lies of the so called Jehovah's Witnesses. The same 'witnesses' who reject the truth that Jehovah Himself gave to His witnesses in Is. 43:10, that there is only ONE GOD. Those who follow these false teachings will forever be trying to explain away those verses which: 1) Describe Jesus as God, when Scripture says that there is only one God (Deut. 32:39, 2 Sam. 7:22, 2 Kings 5:15, 1 Chron. 17:20, 2 Chron. 6:14, Is. 43:10, Is. 44:6, Is. 45:5, Is. 45:21,and 1 Cor. 8:4) How many verses does it take to get you to acknowledge that there is no 'other god' besides Jehovah? 2) Describe Jesus as Savior, when Scripture says that there is no Savior besides Jehovah (Is. 43:11 and Hosea 13:4). 3) Describe Jesus as Creator, when Scripture says that Jehovah created all things (Gen. 1:1). How do you reconcile these statements my friend? Or, do you just ignore them because they don't agree with the teachings of the JW's? Gen. 1:1 is clear that Jehovah created the Heavens and the Earth, and all that is in them. Yet, John 1:3 says that all things were created by Jesus. The same thought is expressed in Col. 1:16. Can't you see my friend that the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses forces you to ignore clear statements of Scripture and twist them to mean something else in order to support their false teachings? I stress this so much with you my friend, because you yourself said that you were not a baptized JW. There is still a chance that you can acknowledge what Scripture says about Jesus. John 8:24 makes it clear that if you do not accept that He is the "I AM", you will die in your sins. Scripture is also clear that there is salvation in no one else. The Gospel is quite simple, but profoundly beautiful. We were all lost in sin, because of our disobedience to God. We all deserved the death penalty for our sins. Yet, God Himself paid the price for our sins on the cross. Now, we don't have to do anything to earn His love or forgiveness. We only need to accept the free offer of the gift of salvation. If we do, then we have eternal life and an eternal inheritence awaiting us in Heaven. Compare this to the false teachings of the Jehovah's Witness, who neither recognize: The Deity of Christ, salvation by grace, or hope of heaven. There is a reason why every single cult denies the identify of Christ. It is because His identify is essential to your salvation. If they can lead you astray on that point alone, then they can keep you from the salvation that Scripture offers. Please consider this carefully before it is too late my friend!
