AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 1:12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name-- [Is 56:5] |
Bible Question: God said that we are saved by Grace and Jesus says we are not subject to Jewish Laws where does Judjment fall into place then. Can we repent of our sins and still go to hell? |
Bible Answer: Romans 8:1,2 says that "there is now no condemnation (judgment) for those in Christ." Why? "For the law of the Spirit of LIFE in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." The law of sin and death says, 'the soul that sins, it shall die.' But Christ took our punishment (death, the wages of sin) and God judged all our sins at the cross. The verdict was guilty and Christ took the punishment. But, as you know, 3 days later He was raised again as a "life-giving Spirit" who now indwells the believer. So what protects you from judgment or condemnation? It has already been executed on your behalf. We believe it, have faith in it (as JVH0212 says) and appropriate it to our lives. In Christ, Bill Mc |
