Bible Question: IS THE STORY ABOUT LAZARUS AND THE RICH MAN A PARRABLE? |
Bible Answer: If this story is a parable it is a very unique one in that it gives identity to two main characters. Lazarus and Abraham. In known parables Jesus does not give this type of identity to the characters involved (as far as I remember anyway). Based on the fact that Jesus named Lazarus by named and made reference specific to Abraham, I tend to believe that perhapse Jesus was making mention of a real event. What do others think. Jeff |
