Bible Question: is is unforgivable, having once believed in god and giving your life to him, to then fall away and not belive? what if you did this and then want to come to him again, is it possible? |
Bible Answer: Mat 22:14 New American Stand "For many are called, but few are chosen." I believe God calls and we have to prove ourself worthy to be chosen. I also believe that it is possible that the people that loose out and fall away could possibly be because they do not obey the first and greatest commandment in the law. Matthew 22:37 If we obeyed this command to Love the Lord Your God With All Your Heart And With All Your Soul And With All Your Mind how in the world could one possibly fall away? We are all sinner's and will fall short of the glory of God! In Mat 26:41 "Jesus told His disciples to keep watch and in prayer for the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Mat. 26:31 "Then Jesus said to them, "you will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written, I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK SHALL BE SCATTERED., God knows the weakness of man and allows forgiveness for our sins when we repent and turn back to Him. He is a murciful God. Mat 28:19,20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 Teaching them to OBSERVE ALL that I COMMANDED you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. I hope this has helped you as much as it has me. God Bless! JosiBible |
