Bible Answer: Mommapbs, See the story in 2 Chronicles 28:8-15. See any similarities? There are moral and theological lessons to be gained from the story of the Good Smaritan. The moral lesson is that the priest and levite chose the letter of the Old Covenant Law to preserves their ritual purity (lEV 21:1-3), rather than the Spirit of the Law exemlified by the Samaritan. The theological lesson in in an allegorical or typological interetation. The man is Adam. He is assaulted by Satan and his legions, stripped of his immortality and left for dead in sin.
