Bible Question: Does the bible state that priests are not to marry? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... 2 Chr 22:11, Ezra 2:61 (Neh 7:63), Luke 1:5, 1 Cor 7:8, 1 Tim 3:2, Tit 1:6 ... Greetings pgs, There are several examples of OT priests having a wife (2 Chr 22:11, Ezra 2:61 (Neh 7:63), Luke 1:5) ... and the overseer in the NT also has one wife (1 Tim 3:2, Tit 1:6). Paul wasn't married (1 Cor 7:8), nor was he a priest or an overseer. Hope this answers your question, Searcher |
