AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 8:33 But turning around [with His back to Peter] and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan; for your mind is not set on God's will or His values and purposes, but on what pleases man." |
Bible Question: This passage appears to say that Satan was speaking through Peter when Peter rebuked Jesus for describing His death. Was Peter possessed? Was Jesus speaking for the benefit of His disciples or directly to Satan?? |
Bible Answer: Satan can and will use any person that is open to him. It dosn't mean that person is possessed. Any area in our saved lives that we are not delivered of Satan can us. Such as gossiping, lying, backbiting, short tempered, strife anything that we have not yielded to God or has not been delivered from that is contrary to the word of God Satan can and will us. We have to be so careful to make sure we walk according to the word of God and whatever we are not delivered from and we know some of the things ask God for deliverance in those areas. Salvation is a lifelong process. we are not 100 percent saved until Jesus come. |
