Bible Question: Why did Jesus need to be baptized? No need to repent, and He and the Holy Spirit are one, right? |
Bible Answer: Hi imforgiven and welcome to the forum. With regards to the last part of your question about Jesus, "He and the Holy Spirit are one, right"? The answer to your question is both yes and no. God is one and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, as well as the father are God; one god three persons. Jesus is a distinct personality as are the other two members of the God Head; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is one in essence, but there are three personalities that share all of exact same essence that we know as God. i.e. One God, in essence, but three distinct personalities that function differently. Now I suppose you are thoroughly confused? Have a great day, CDBJ |
