Bible Note: Hi Hank, I think that Phil 2:7,8, are verses that should point out that Jesus came in the likeness of men but was indeed a Man. Which I have said over and over. However, with the lower case "man" of verse 8, it stresses His humanity at the expense of His Deity. I would say that the idea of His humbling Himself should agree with His becoming a Man. God did not highly exalt "him" as a "man". He is exalted as a Man. God is glorified in Him, the Son of Man. John 13:31 So this verse that you have referenced is one that I believe the translators/interpretors of both the NKJ and the NASB should reconsider. From the heart, Ray |
