Subject: Are we to pray to the holy spirit? |
Bible Note: Hi Searcher, This prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 is called the Lord's Prayer, but it really is the disciple's prayer that the Lord taught them to pray. 1) There is a difference between the "our" of Matthew 6 and the "Our" of Genesis 1:26. Who can see a difference? I'll give a hint to anyone who can not see a difference; it revolves around the letter (o)O. 2) Matthew 6:13, "...For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen." Genesis 1:26, "Then God said, "..." The God in the Hebrew of Genesis is plural. He said in Genesis 1:26, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness..." 3) If we are made in the image of God, Genesis 1:26 then we serve God, Matthew 6:24, not mammon.
