Bible Question: Give an example of a prayer found in the Bible. What does your example teach us about God, the things of God, or our relationship with Him? |
Bible Answer: THE MODEL PRAYER- (Luke 11:2-4). The so-called Lord's Prayer is really a prayer for disciples or learner of how to pray. 1.Our Father-This teaches a new and right relationship to God. 2.Which Art In Heaven-states the place where God dwells. 3.Hallowed Be Thy Name-new manner of approach to God. Worship, adoration and praise. 4.Thy kingdom Come-the needs of others before our own desires.5. Thy Will Be Done,As in Heaven, So In Earth-It is submission in prayer to the will of God.6.Give Us Day By Day Our Daily Bread-asking God to give us what we have Need of Today. 7. AND FORGIVE US OUR SINS;FOR WE ALSO FORGIVE EVERY ONE THAT IS INDEBTED TO US-Confession of sins and personal wrongs to others goes far in getting answers to prayer. 8.LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL-Guidance and deliverance from God should be part of our prayer life. God Bless you |
