Bible Question: How is it possible to hide our righteousness (Matt.6:1) but to let our light shine before men (Matt.5:16)? |
Bible Answer: Hank, We cannot be cowards and hide our light. But, we aren't to be a spotlight on ourselves. Note rhe words righteousness and giving alms are from the same Hebrew root. In this case when we give to the poor, don't let anyone know ... not even your left hand; as your right gives. I know this is a delayed post, but, this was my Bible study this morning. Steve |
