Subject: What does water baptism do? |
Bible Note: Dear fellow believers, Luke 18:17 "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." (NASB) What does this mean?(And I don't want to hear any new covenant/old covenant arguments). Jesus is telling us, that the path to the Kingdom of God is so easy, that even a child could understand it. Children don't give a wit about doctrine, different paths, etc. They understand John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." Notice, He does not say, "Believe in Me, and get baptized." That is what it means to "receive the kingdom of God like a child". Continue in praise, lifting up holy hands!! 2nd Samuel 22 |
