Bible Question: Who offered us baptism? |
Bible Answer: grace abd truth: I am not sure if you remember our dialogue some time ago. To refresh your mind, As a pastor I was called tovisit a lady near death with cancer. She was hooked up to all kinds of tubes and the whole medical stuff that ties one down. She could no longer wald, and barely spoke. I introduced her to the Lord Jesus Christ. She prayed to make Him Lord of her life. If ever there was a person wanting to be baptized she was willing to crawl if she could have. I sprinkled her as a symbol as of her faith in Christ. She was aware this was not baptism. But it was as close as she could come. She died in faith and peace. If you recall you said to me this woman went to hell. I have never forgotten your words. I have prayed for you to receive God's Grace and Truth as well as finding what Mercy is. I wonder if you have ever faced a situation of introducing a dying person to Christ? What would you say to them? I am sorry because you can not be baptized there is no use in telling you about Christ? Doctors, nurses, and paramedics are required to do what they can to save life. Are we as Christians not to live up to a higher Code of God then these medically trained persons. Do you not think God would hold you to an even higher responsibility? I personally leave the Judgement part of the persons heart up to Jesus Christ. You see that's not what he has called me to do. I am called to go tell and make learners and then to baptize. |
