AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 28:1 Now after the Sabbath, near dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. [Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-10, John 20:1-8] |
Bible Question: For the "record" when is the true real Sabbath? Is it from Friday sunset until Saturday sunset or Sunday 12am until Monday 12am? |
Bible Answer: Hello seeking_truth, Yes, the Sabbath is from Friday at 6pm until Saturday at 6pm. The Messianic Jews still feel it necessary to honor the Lord's Day as Saturday. Mainly, this is because of tradition and the fact it is "a Jewish law" from the Old Testament as they are the chosen Nation. However, New Testament Christians began meeting on the "first day of the week" in honor of Christ's resurection. Okeedookie........? InGodITrust |
