Subject: An Amazing Quote! |
Bible Note: Greetings Kalos! Excellent point my friend! I noticed that verse after I had already posted. In college, I took a class called 'Praise and Lament in the Psalms'. Psalm 22 would fit the classification of a lament. In a lament, the author cries out over some injustice or perceived injustice. Often, the lament is over God's apparent failure to answer prayer. But, by the end of the lament, the author makes a confession of his trust in God and God's history of faithfulness. Of course, in relationship to Christ, it does show that God had not forsaken Him, even though it may have appeared that the Father had forsaken Him. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
