Bible Note: Thank you, Doc, for your insight. I agree that Jesus was about to experience God's wrath and prayed three times that if it was not His Father's will, that this cup be removed from Him. Luke 22:43 mentions an angel ministering to our Lord and strengthening Him during His agony, perhaps similar to the angels ministering to Jesus after the early temptations by the devil in the desert. It is only conjecture on my part to assume the devil did not tempt Jesus during the garden agony, but he was certainly working on the disciples. Shalom, love_peace_joy |
