Bible Note: I just read a new, good book on stwewardship. It is called _God and Your Stuff: The Vital Link Between Your Possessions and Your Soul._ It is by Wesley K. Willmer and put out by NavPress. According to Willmer, approximately 15 percent of the Bible deals directly with the use of our possessions for God's glory. Joe the Book Man gives it a "thumbs-up" for being Bible centered and not beating around the bush on a topic that people tend to get very (sinfully) sensitive about. Bottom line: it's ALL God's stuff, not ours. Money is a tool for God's glory, not something to hoard and leave behind unused for His kingdom. --Joe! |
