Bible Question:
The bible has much to say on money and riches. My discussion question is this: Do you believe that it is a sin for Christians to have expensive things (cars, houses, jewelry, ect) and have an excess of money in the bank or do you believe that Christians are called to live a simple lifestyle? Do you feel that God would consider you greedy with an excess of money in the bank? prayon |
Bible Answer: Hi prayon, I don't feel that God has a problem with Christians being wealthy. As long as the wealth was obtained honestly and that the "THINGS" are not put before God!! As to living a "simple" lifestyle, I feel God requires we live according to His will and that we put Him first and foremost in our lives. If we do that, everything else will fall into God's "Master Plan" for each Christian's life!!! I would just like to say...I feel that wealth and things will NOT keep a Christian out of heaven!! Besides...money is needed for the extension of God's kingdom and why should satan have access to the wealth that is in this world? By the way, I am NOT wealthy!! God Bless, Maple |
