Bible Note: Robert: Of all the return notes you recieved mine was not as good as DocTrinsograce. Doc wrote the best of all. The words he used, words that reflect your situation much better than I did. Your son and grandsson have made the choice to become addicted, and thus they have become sin afflicted. I do have deep sympathy for you and how hard it is to make a stand. If you told them they were in sin, this puts your relationships with these two men at risk. My real sad feelings come from the fact you attempt justify their sin and are defending why they choose to stay in sexual sin. As long as you can't or won't lovingly confront them with what the Bible really says they have more support to stay in homosexuality. That Robert is a reason the deeply grieve. Robert, you have taken out of context the verse on judging others. There will always be some who say one thing and do another like the Sadducees and Pharisees. Ted Haggard, who was involved with paid for homosexual relations is such an example. The real issue is not what I think or what you think, but what does the Word of God say. Sin is always a personal choice, be it using the name of God in vain or sexual sin. If you are so convienced that homosexuality is acceptable for Christians, this forum would not be a place to try and convert others to your point of view. I too grieve for you and your son and grandson. There are psychological and spiritual reasons women and men turn to same sex, sexual contacts. I cant imagine that you are fully aware of the behavior homosexuality involves. Without going into detail, homosexuality is abusive. brutal, sadistic, foul, lewd, detestable, and foul. Homosexual contact is NOT loving. Look again at Romans chapter one. The end of the chapter says even though those people know their behavior is wrong they encourage other to do the same as they are doing. Robert, by defending these two men you are supporting their lifestyle, which is the same as approving the sinful lives. That makes you guilty as well. I am being honest and forthright, yet being as kind as possible. Romans 14:22 "The faith you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves." justme |
