Bible Question:
Does anyone have an opinion of Matthew 16:28 "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." Does Jesus mean the physical death of the people that were there with him or does it mean something else? This sounds a little confusing because it's been so long since then can anyone clarify this for me? |
Bible Answer: as has been mentioned already by the other answers, it is speaking of the mount of transiguration. The some of you, were Peter, James and John. Peter said that he witnessed the Power of the COming and glory of Christ when he saw this on the mount in the epistle of Peter. So it does speak of the 2nd coming, and it is saying that those that are alive when Jesus comes again will be transfigured and shine with this same glory. The disappearing rapture theory is a mistake. The word says we are changed and rise, not dissapear and rise. We are glorified and rise. We will shine with the same Glory that Jesus had and the world will see it in my opinion. A holy vindication of all that have been persecuted by the wicked. |
