Subject: Jesus' response to John's beheading? |
Bible Note: Greetings Makarios! I know that this is an old post, but this verse caught my attention tonight and I thought I'd check it out here. You asked, "Is there anything that we can learn from Jesus' response . . . Something that we could possibly 'model after' in our own lives?" As I see it, "When Jesus heard it" He didn't pick up the phone, wring His hands or voice His protest . . . He sought His Father. When we hear troubling news or reports, may we remember to do the same! Now my query, "when the people heard of this" what did they hear: about John's beheading or Jesus' withdrawal? Why did the crowds seek Him out? Merry Christmas - may God bless you and yours! mommapbs |
