Bible Note: Jim, as I understand it, God has always been merciful to any person who would put his faith and trust in Him as He is the creator of all humankind. In the first book of Genesis He says to Abraham that all nations will be blessed through you. This means "all nations". Gentile nations. There is no punishment to a person who puts their faith and trust in Christ alone. That punishment was paid for on the cross. Christ made propiation for our sins. God has always had a believing remnant. Abraham was justified by faith in God. When Christ came to earth He was rejected by His people. Paul preached to the jew first then to the gentiles. Its all covered in the bible. Christ has always shown mercy to people who put their faith and trust in Him (Jehovah God) in the old testament and new testament whether jew or gentile. |
