Bible Note: Thank you Hank! Yes, I agree, Nahum is not prophesying about the automobile here.. :-) The thing to focus on here in this prophecy in Nahum is not the chariots, but the city of Nineveh. Nineveh was once irresistibly victorious over her enemies, but she was now going to experience the destruction that she had brought upon others. Nineveh's enemy would invade the city with chariots that would ride wildly throughout the city, like flames of fire. Good study! Nolan |
