Subject: Will everyone who asks be saved? |
Bible Note: Doc, A very astute posting by brother Hobbs. I'm in whole hearted agreement with you regarding 2 Corinthians 13:5 is concerned. We need to examine our hearts and lives on a daily basis. If a man or woman pursues God with all his or her heart that person does so because God has called them. The question arises is that when God calls and call he has and does. Will one heed the call or ignore it. It would be contradictatory to think that after going after God with all our heart that he would then walk away from us. That may seam a bit hardline, but where the bible is concerned there can be no compromise if we value our salvation and winning the lost for Jesus Christ. Doc all you stated in the last part of your post was right on the mark. All the religious traditions we may have learned or grew up with will not salvation garauntee. It gets frustrating at times when we as christians can be so devicive regaurding who is saved or not. The bible is crystal clear about this. I'll throw these in with the other passeges previousely quoted. Jeremiah 29:11, Acts 2:38,Romans 10:9,10 just to name a few. These are scriptures for all to heed and believe. In Him, lionheart |
