Subject: is the seed non-human? |
Bible Note: Hi Reighnskye, “Was this seed intermingling with the human race after the days of Noah?” Where the Bible says “there were nephilim in the earth in those days, and afterward”, I would have to say yes, that must be. The stories of anakim and similar people as the Israelites were coming to the promised land seem to be examples of this. “If it can be said that Noah and his family were pure-blood humans (which I believe to be the case)” This is what I had always assumed, but in fact, the Bible only says that Noah was perfect in his generations. Anything beyond this is our own speculation. We simply are not told concerning his wife, or his sons and their wives. And again, the scripture says “and afterward”. The existance of angel/human hybrids did not end with the flood. I believe that Noah’s wife was pure, and at least one of his son’s wives, because I believe Jesus came through a pure bloodline through Mary, however, I do not know scripture that says this. But this leads me to think that there may have continued to be intermingling, just not the worldwide contamination as before the flood. I agree completely that the intruduction of hybrids are a perversion of what God created, and those responsible with receive severe punishment. (See II Peter, and Jude) However, I believe that in the resurrection, all of the redeemed will have the heavenly body not affected by any perversions. My thinking is that the spirits produced from this crossbreeding are not subject to salvation, although again, I have no scripture to support that. My thinking is that these are the demons so often described in the Bible as desparately wanting to inhabit people’s bodies. As far as the war between God and those who are evil, God will win, no matter what weapons are formed against Him. The future dominance of redeemed humanity can only come through God’s work in us, and not by any mechination of man or angel. Unredeemed humanity will not, of course, have any dominance no matter what they do. Thank you for responding. You gave me some interesting things to think about. Love in Christ, Mark |
