Bible Note: Answer Part #1 First you ask if I believed the following... which I take to mean the verses that you quoted. (I belief every Word that proceeds from God's Mouth) I believe the final chapter of the Bible concerning end time events to come in order as John wrote them. I will show you in this 3 part answer why, I believe that the Church will be saved from the Great Tribulation. As far as satan's wrath vs. God's wrath question, I believe these signs after the scrolls, trumpets and golden bowls to be God's righteous judgements and wrath. Starting at Rev. Chapter 6 reading through to Chapter 20 notice that John relays the order in which things will happen by using the words, "And then I Saw..." also he numbers events (ie. 7 scrolls opened by the Lamb, 7 trumpets blown by 7 angels, and the bowls of God's wrath) An event happens after each thing is done, after each scroll is opened one by one... next as each trumpet is sounded one by one and then after the golden bowls of "GOD'S WRATH" are poured out. Rev 6 -The Lamb opens 6 of 7 scrolls Rev 7 -Before the 7th seal is opened these 2 events take place, 144,000 are sealed 1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3"Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. ---And next appearing before the throne are those who have washed the robes in the blood of the Lamb. (Justified and found faultless by no doing of their own, but by their acceptance of the Free gift of salvation and redemption through the blood sacrifice of the Lamb) "The Church is invited to the Wedding Supper as the Bride" 9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their ands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!" 13Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?" 14 I answered, "Sir, you know." 15 And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the Throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. 16 Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. 17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Rev 8-9 ---After the sealing of the 144,000 and the Church are securely before His throne, now the Lamb opens the seal of the 7th scroll. After about 30 minutes of silence the angels with the seven trumpets appear and one angel with a golden censer. Next the angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel's hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. Then natural disasters follow each of the first 6 trumpets sounded. To be continued in 2nd post. –khuck |
