Bible Question (short): Why did Israel stop resting land? |
Question (full): According to my studies, the 70-year captivity of the Southern Kingdom began around 607 B.C. According to scripture, this was God's judgment for the Israelites ignoring the land's sabbath rest for the previous 490 years (70 times 7). My question is what happened around 1097 B.C. that caused them to no longer rest the land at the seventh year? |
