Bible Note: Here is another good article on false prophets: http://thecripplegate.com/strange-fire-modern-prophecy/ Nathan Buesenitz gives the following tests for those claiming to be prophets: 1. Doctrinal orthodoxy: Because God is a God of truth, those who truly prophecy on His behalf proclaim doctrines that are right and true. (Deuteronomy 13:1–5; 2 Peter 2:1) 2. Moral integrity: God's true prophets are those who not only proclaim His truth, they also live out His truth. (Jeremiah 23:14-16; Matthew 7:20, 2 Peter 2:2-3) 3. Predictive accuracy: Because God knows the end from the beginning, a true prophet declares divine revelation regarding the future with 100 percent accuracy. (Deuteronomy 18:20-22; Jeremiah 28:9; Ezekiel 13:3-9) Buesenitz gives a number of modern day examples of false prophets. This is a very helpful article.
