Subject: Saved or not ? |
Bible Note: Hello, WOS - Though it may not sends chills down your spine, I quite agree with you: God has not made it His business to make any man privy to whether another man is saved or lost. It's the same with who's elect and who is not elect. Some people close to Charles Spurgeon once suggested to this great preacher, "Why don't you just spend your time preaching to the elect?" I love Spurgeon's answer: "Sirs, if you will be so kind as to mark the elect so that I can tell who they are, I'll be happy to preach to them." ...... I believe Jesus got it right when He said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned" (Mark 16:15,16, NKJV). I recognize that you quoted the same passage too, but it never hurts to repeat the wonderful words of life! --Hank |
