Bible Question: People die on September 11, 2001,I know God is omnipresent all knowing. He rose with all power in his hand in heaven and on earth, so why did innocent people died please help me understand or is this one of those things were they say you are not going to understand. Another things is when I read the bible I am having a hard time understand who said what because God didn't say everything in the bible. Please help |
Bible Answer: Bad things happen to bad people--not true. Bad things happen to everyone because of man's inherent sin. Being a Christian does not "save" you from terrible events, being a Christian means you have God to give you the strength to handle the bad events. Another point to think about: Jesus couldn't avoid the ultimate terrible event, His own death at the hand of man, because the Father had a purpose. But, without Jesus' death, we Gentiles could not become Abraham's children. Instead of focusing on the negative impact (I still cry at times, too), focus on the positive: so many people coming to Christ, a nation moving back to Christ, a nation changing its "me me me" attitude to one of "how can I help" and the list goes on. |
